Editorial Policy
The rules we use to keep physical evidence, historical attribution, reconstruction and modern digital interpretation in their proper places.
Evidence and attribution
Factual statements should be supported by identifiable museum publications, archaeological catalogues or current academic work. Each article includes an annotated list that explains the narrow role of a source. A link is not decoration: it should lead to the material used.
Architecture, materials and objects
Claims about date, material, plan, function, method or provenance must follow the record for the particular building or object. Visual resemblance alone does not establish stone type, order, period, price or cultural origin. Missing fabric and disputed identifications are presented as uncertainty, not silently completed.
Reconstruction and interpretation
Evidence-based reconstructions should identify their site, evidence trail and inferred elements. Revival buildings and contemporary classical designs are historical or artistic subjects in their own right, but they are not labelled as ancient structures or artifacts.
Images and generative tools
Contemporary editorial illustrations are captioned as original modern interpretations. They are not evidence for an ancient site, inscription or object. The project records their generation prompts and avoids reproducing a named modern franchise, protected design or claimed archaeological reconstruction.
Authorship
This delivery uses the explicit byline “AI-assisted editorial draft · human editor pending” until an accountable human editor reviews the text and adds a verified name and biography. The publication does not invent staff, credentials, interviews, workshop visits or expert approval.
Commercial content
There is no advertising or affiliate content in this edition. Any future sponsorship must be disclosed prominently, kept separate from editorial judgment and recorded on the relevant page.
Corrections
Readers can use the contact route to identify a passage and supporting source. Material factual changes should be reviewed by the responsible editor and logged with the date and substance of the correction. Quiet changes are appropriate only for typography or formatting that does not alter meaning.
